Isamu Noguchi
in Paris:
The Unesco Garden
Marc Trieb
|
The first book to present an in-depth study of the renowned Isamu Noguchi's garden for the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, a pivotal point in Noguchi's evolution as an environmental artist. Originally commissioned to design the sculptural seating in the Delegates' Terrace, Noguchi expanded his project to include a lower garden. It is here that Noguchi defined his vision of space rather than form as the essence of design.
