2010 marks the 15th year of William Stout Publishers Beginning with the first list in 1995, William Stout Publishers has built a reputation for bringing important out-of-print source books back into print, and shining light on overlooked architects and landscape designers such as Louis Sullivan and R.M. Schindler, as well as publishing important new additions to the literature of architecture. Strategic working partnerships with UC-Berkeley, North Carolina State University, Rice University, The University of Virginia, and the California College of Arts enrich these offerings. With the 2010 list, we are pleased to announce stunning monographs on Ira Rakatansky, Crombie Taylor, and Gordon Drake. Our association with the Environmental Design Archives at the University of California allows us to distribute Design on the Edge: A Century of Teaching Architecture at the University of California, Berkeley, 1903-2003, an intimate historical record of the evolution of one of the most innovative programs for the teaching of architecture in the 20th century and beyond. Our backlist holds a wealth of publications for architects, university and general bookstores, librarians, designers, and anyone interested in the world of modern architecture and design. As the world of modern architecture and design evolves, so does William Stout Publishers. |
